• Hi-Ho Silver Sterling Silver comes from Mexico, India, Indonesia and other overseas locations. Many items are handcrafted.
• Pure silver is relatively soft, very malleable and easily damaged so it's combined with other metals to produce a more durable alloy. Sterling silver is 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper. This is why most items are stamped '925', to prove the content.
• Silver plate is a thin layer of silver bonded through an electrical process, applied to a base metal.
• Sterling silver will slowly tarnish when exposed to moisture in the air. The best way to prevent tarnishing is to minimize contact with the air by storing the jewelry in a Ziploc bag or pouch.
• To clean your silver, use polishing cloths, Worley's or an ultrasonic cleaner. Tarnish is most easily removed when it first becomes visible.
