Pewterware

• Pewterware is actually recycled aluminum which is non-toxic and safe to use with food.
• It can go in the freezer and the oven, up to 400 degrees. Our serveware is all sandcasted by hand from India. This makes each piece unique, as each sand-casted mold is broken after it's used.
• As with any metal, food should not be stored in it for sustained period of time.
• If using fatty acids, salad dressings or tomato based products, spray first with a light coating of cooking spray to coat the surface and prevent discoloration.
• Wash by hand with mild soap and water. Never put in a dishwasher. Fine silver polish may remove slight scratches; however these scratches lend an air of age and authenticity to the piece.
